Venue: Hall of the First Slovenian Government (Dvorana Prve slovenske vlade), Trg 1. slovenske vlade 1, 5270 Ajdovščina, Slovenia

Organizer: Chess Club (ŠD) Čaven Ajdovščina under the patronage of the Municipality of Ajdovščina.

Tournament Start: 10:00 AM

Registration Confirmation: From 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM

Tournament Format

• System: 9 rounds, Swiss system.

• Time Control: 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment per move.

• Rules: Played according to FIDE Laws of Chess for Rapid Games.

• Rating: The tournament will be registered for FIDE Rapid Rating.

• Catering: Provided after Round 5.

• Eligibility: Limited to the first 70 registered players.

• Note: Payment on the day of the event is not possible.

Tie-break Criteria

Rankings will be determined by (in order of priority):

• Number of points.

• Direct encounter(s) (only if all players in the tie played each other).

• Buchholz -1 (lowest score dropped).

• Full Buchholz coefficient.

• Greater number of games played with Black pieces.

• Greater number of wins (excluding forfeits/byes).

If any of the top three places remain tied after all criteria, a Blitz playoff will be held (colors drawn by lot, 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment per player).

Total Prize Fund: €2,000 net (tax ID must be provided to claim prizes).

• 1st Place: €800

• 3rd Place: €100

• Best ELO < 1800: €100

• Best ELO < 2000: €100

• Best ELO < 2200: €100

• Best Woman: €100

• Best Senior (U65): €100

• Best Junior (U18): €100

• Best ŠD Čaven Member: €100

• Lucky Draw Winner: €100

• Special Bonus: €200 for a perfect score (9 wins), cumulative with other prize.

Note: Regular prizes are mutually exclusive (players can only win one ranking/category prize).

General Information

• Equipment: The organizer will provide all chess sets and clocks.

• Results: Will be published on the Chess Federation of Slovenia (ŠZS) website.

• Organization: The tournament is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Ajdovščina.

• Liability: Players and accompanying persons are not covered by health or accident insurance through the organizer. By entering, players agree to the tournament terms and conditions.
